Twiztid And Kottonmouth Kings Join Forces For "Kaos & Kronik" Tour With Special Guests Blaze Ya Dead Homie And Big B!

This spring, two of the biggest acts in the underground will come together to wreak havoc on the road for one of this year’s hottest tours. The stars have come into alignment as Psychopathic Records’ Twiztid and Suburban Noize weed smokers the Kottonmouth Kings will unite for the “Kaos & Kronik” Tour with special guests Blaze Ya Dead Homie and Big B.

“Psychopathic Records and Suburban Noize have been allies in the underground for a decade, but this is the first time Kottonmouth Kings & Twiztid have come together on a national tour,” says Kottonmouth’s Brad X. “We asked Big B and Blaze to join us on this tour to help bring the thunder and ensure every show is pure insanity.”

American Psycho Tour Review – Philadelphia 10/16/11

Welcome to the month of October. The leaves are changing colors. The sun is setting earlier while children of all ages are salivating at the prevalence of Halloween candy. Horror movies are all over the television and the artists of Psychopathic Records are on tour again in preparation for their annual Hallowicked festivities in Detroit, Michigan.

The American Psycho Tour as this fall’s trek has been dubbed made its way to the Electric Factory on October 16th, 2011 and brought with it a great lineup featuring hometown rappers Wolfpac along with old school west coast rapper Big Hutch (aKa Cold 187um of the rap group Above the Law) supporting Psychopathic favorites Blaze Ya Dead Homie and Twiztid in support of “The Most Hated Band in the World,” Insane Clown Posse.

The building is packed full of fans with and without the face paint that is an ICP trademark and Philadelphia is traditionally known in the circles as a clown town. The show starts with the hometown Wolfpac playing to the crowd with their school girl dancers on the stage and Daddy Long Legs performing songs from their release “Evil Is” for a brief set highlighted by “Death Becomes Her” and “Something Wicked This Way Comes.”

After a short break Big Hutch comes out with his hype man and gets the crowd worked up into chants of “WHOOP WHOOP” and busts out a mix of old Above the Law stuff and his solo stuff in promotion of his new album “Only God Can Judge Me.” The stage set up for the openers is very simple in just what later proves to be the padded walls of an asylum with the artist’s banner hanging in front of it. It’s a very old school rap element in letting the music speak for itself.

The crowd gets even louder as the first Psychopathic artist gets on the stage in the form of Blaze Ya Dead Homie, a rapper from the casket repping the West Coast Gangsta style of Big Hutch and many others from that era. He performed a mix of songs from his older releases including the ode to being disgusting “Nasty,”along with “Damn Bitch” and “Ridin The Whip” from his latest release 2010’s “Gang Rags.” My personal highlight was “Escape Artist” from his album Clockwork Gray.

The banners were taken down and a wheelchair and gurney were brought out for the dynamic duo Jamie Madrox and the Monoxide Child better known as Psychopathic’s own Twiztid. The setup was toned down for Twiztid who usually headline their own shows nowadays but returned to tour with ICP for the first time since 2001’s Hatchet Rising tour. Jamie Madrox who is perhaps best known as Psychopathic’s reigning “fat kid representin” has definitely slimmed down a bit over the years but his performance hasn’t changed one bit. Monoxide and Madrox kept the crowd going with dueling chants between juggalos and juggalettes as well as showing some love to Philadelphia during their 15 song set.

Insane Clown Posse's "American Psycho Tour"!

The Insane Clown Posse’s “American Psycho Tour” includes supporting artists Twiztid and  Blaze Ya Dead Homie,  and is scheduled to begin its nationwide stint on September 26, 2011, and end on Halloween night in Detroit with the duo’s Hallowicked show.

Like with any tour that ICP headlines, anyone attending the “American Psycho Tour” can expect devastating, colorful stage sets with dancing zombies and clowns, plus massive crowds of Faygo covered Juggalos chanting “Whoop Whoop”.  And to create even more anticipation and excitement in the underground, Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J decided to bring along label cohorts Twiztid and Blaze, making this Psychopathic Records’ biggest, nationwide campaign to date.

Not only will ICP, Twiztid and Blaze perform their individual sets at all scheduled “American Psycho Tour” dates, but on separate dates the three artists will combine to perform as the independent label’s “Super Groups” – Dark Lotus and Psychopathic Rydas.  Dark Lotus will perform at its own shows, which will be separate dates from the “American Psycho Tour” dates.  As for Psychopathic Rydas, this group will perform at official after parties only.  Be on the lookout for all Dark Lotus and Psychopathic Rydas dates, as only a few have been scheduled thus far.  Lastly, as Psychopathic tradition has held for the past seventeen years, ICP will celebrate Halloween night in Detroit, MI with its infamous Hallowicked event, ending the “American Psycho Tour” with a Bang! Pow! Boom!

Additionally, Psychopathic Records is releasing a CD to help commemorate the historic tour, which will properly be entitled American Psycho.  This release will be a collection of new music, including ICP and Twiztid tracks, plus one ICP/Twiztid collaboration.  The album will be available for sale at each show and online at www.hatchetgear.com, eventually making its way into stores nationwide.  Juggalos will go rabid over this rare release!
