The third single to come from Kaskade’s smash hit album “Fire & Ice” is one of the most anticipated cuts – the evocative and masterfully created “Room For Happiness” featuring none other than pop songstress Skylar Grey. Having been instrumental in catapulting the album towards the top of the US iTunes store late last year, where the long player peaked at No. 4, the full single package is out now on Ultra Music.
“One of my favorite memories from making my album ‘Fire and Ice,’ was making music with Skylar,” said Kaskade. “This was a collaboration that came together so easily that I knew it was going to be something special before we even finished.”
Skylar Grey, best known for writing and lending her vocal talents to P. Diddy’s monumental “Coming Home” and Dr. Dre and Eminem’s “I Need A Doctor,” is no stranger to writing some of the most impressive top-lines in the business – this track being no exception! Lyrically deep and vocally stunning, it was only a matter of time before someone picked her up for an electronic debut – fans around the world will not be disappointed! Having spent most of 2011 hearing Dirty South’s interpretation of “I’m Coming Home,” the time has come for Skylar’s voice to once again dominate clubs and festival stages the world over.
“Since I was a kid, I have always wanted to combine my voice with a house track and I couldn’t have asked for a more suitable collaborator than this – Kaskade was an absolute pleasure to work with,” said Grey. “When a song comes out so effortlessly, it’s usually a sign that it is one of my best.”
In addition to the original mix comes a slew of top quality remixes including high energy house takes from Pixel Cheese and Feenixpawl, as well as further interpretations from Pixl, Mysto & Pizzi and Gregori Klosman. Add these to Kaskade’s very own extended mix, and you’re left with a package that is bang on “essential.”
