Widow has come a long way since 2000. The heavy metal band from North Carolina has recently released their latest album, Life’s Blood, and is streaming rock tracks for listeners to get a taste. London band Binary (signed to Luv Luv Luv – home of Florence & The Machine, Spector, Blood Orange, Babeshadow etc) has a new single, “Prisoner“, due for release on Nov 28th. The video was premiered through NME.com and NYLON, watch it here. The track was mixed by Sean Beavan (Marilyn Manson and NIN collaborator) – it basically adds a darkness to the melodies and lo-fi electronics. It’s a slammin’ track so be sure to give it a listen.
French Horn Rebellion (Robert and David Perlick-Molinari) announce the release of a new What I Want EP on November 29th and Spinner premiered the accompanying “What I Want” video shot in the South Korean capital city of Seoul during their first Asian tour. The band worked with an entire Korean crew, and the language barrier cause them to put full and creative trust in each other. They are still in the midst of their global tour, but have decided to add a few more places to the list – China and Australia. “What I Want” also includes a Golden Pony remix, check it out.
Red Red Records has released the first new recordings from 70s California pop pioneers Pablo Cruise in over 25 years. The CD/DVD greatest hits set titled It’s Good to be Live features a 2010 live show recorded at a concert in Northern California by the three original founding members of the band – here’s a snippet of their song “Love Will Find A Way” performed live.

Portland, Oregon-based pop-rock outfit, Crown Point are hitting the road to support their debut EP, Wolves, a six-song collection of tight, well-produced hook-y pop numbers. With a radio-friendly sound that further penetrates your ears with lyrical depth, Crown Point‘s Wolves EP is a nice, debut offering from a band that can write gentle, mellow songs, but isn’t afraid to also rock it up a bit with some guitars. With six albums under his belt and over one million collectively sold in Europe, the German platinum and award-winning singer Gentleman is long overdue for his U.S. debut.
