k.d. lang and The Siss Boom Bang are wrapping up their North American Tour in celebration of their latest album, Sing it Loud. Sing it Loud was named “Album of the Week” by Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, which hailed it as “back-to-basics lang recorded as a band, mostly in one take, just like the old days: raw and immediate.” Be sure to check out the rest of their concluding tour dates on kdlang.com.

I’m sure we’ve all heard the hip-hop radio hit by New Boyz feat. Chris Brown, “Better With The Lights Off.” If not, crawl out from under that rock and check out the music video. Buckcherry‘s own Josh Todd and Keith Nelson have announced that they have begun to write new material for their next album, set to be released in Spring 2012. Chimaria‘s latest album, Age of Hell, was released in August and the popularity of their work is growing.

LA – roots based, folk-rock band The Northstar Session are a new and upcoming group, streaming radio stations nationwide. Their warm/soft-rock sound reels audiences in and are worth checking out – give listen to their single “You Come Up Like a Rose” and see for yourself.

Any True Blood fans out there? Remember the chilling “She’s Not There” cover from volume 3? If you haven’t heard it yet, it’s fair to say that the single is very fitting for the upcoming candy-coated holiday, Halloween. Artists Neko Case and Nick Cave collaborated for the hit, be sure to stream the song on kcrw.com.

Explosions In The Sky has unveiled the first official music video of the band’s 12-year career. The animated clip for “Last Known Surroundings” from the band’s new album Take Care, Take Care, Take Care was recently premiered at Wired.com. You can also buy the album on their site, along with concluding U.S. tour dates, as well as their confirmed dates for their upcoming global tour.

The Black Eyed Peas have already dominated the stereo, so why not conquer your Xbox and Wii as well? Listening to Gary Clark Jr., I can’t help but think of a laid-back Austin version of Hendrix mixed with Smokey. The guitar is there, the vocals are raw, he’s a force to be reckoned with. Rolling Stone and LA Times are both raving about his blues-based rock sound. Nashville singer/songwriter and long time road warrior Will Hoge is currently on the road for his fall headlining When I Get My Wings 2011 Tour. Joining Hoge for several dates on the 30 city tour will be indie pop rockers Locksley, with Jaron and the Long Road to Love, James Dunn, Brighton, Nic Cowan and Aunt Martha all confirmed for opening slots on various tour stops. San Diego based band Transfer will release their debut album, Future Selves on October 11th via Cool Green Recordings.
