Brian Corbin says “It’s about bringing rock back to the masses”. Their first release,River of Sorrow delivers outstanding songs such as Gasoline, Believe and Sins of the Wicked. The material has you feeling each and every beat of the song in your soul.
Convoy got its start just being a side project band with Brian Corbin and Mike Getz as its leaders but quickly turned into much more. “People got wind of what we were doing and it became quite clear that this was more than just a couple of guys diddling around with some riffs” says Brian. “We write these songs for the everyday people dealing with their everyday lives”. Convoy titles themselves as “The Kings of Swamp Rock”, if you don’t quite understand what that means - just take a listen.
Convoy is currently working in the studio on their sophomore CD entitled Blue Collar America which will be out early next year. With songs titled U.S.M.C, In The Mouth of Madness, and Mesmerized. “I think we went back to our roots of Sabbath with a little bit of C.O.C mixed in there” says Brian.
