The Holidays Offer Up Free Download of "6AM"

As we approach The Holiday’s U.S. debut at this year’s SXSW festival, the band are offering up a track of the album. “6AM” allows the listener to travel somewhere tropical, wake  up on the beach and take an early morning dive  into a crystalline aural sea.

The Australian 4-piece recently won the highly coveted Best Debut Album in the Australian Music Prize‘s Red Bull Award and are a finalist for the overall Australian Music Prize announced next month. Their much-lauded full length Post Paradise features 10 freakishly good tracks – invoking eternal summer vacation. In the past couple of years The Holidays have quickly established themselves in the Sydney music scene as an upbeat, thrilling live act and Aussie festival favorites. The band  have started 2011 with bang having just finished a stint on the famed Laneway Festival, sharing the stage with the likes of Foals, Beach House, Yeasayer, and Deerhunter, as well as supporting Sia on her headline tour. They are also thrilled to have been chosen to support Cut Copy on their May album tour in Australia, and will undertake their own sold out headline tour in April.
