YOUNG THE GIANT

One of the most talked about bands at CMJ this year is SoCal indie rock outfit, Young The Giant. Sameer Gadhia’s honeyed vocals could be heard everywhere in NYC this week, and lucky for us, the band has released their self-titled debut album across all digital platforms today via Roadrunner Records. Helmed by producer Joe Chiccarelli (White Stripes, My Morning Jacket) and live tracked at Sunset Sound Studios in LA, Newport Beach, CA’s Young The Giant’s unique brand of sun-soaked rock has already caught the attention of the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal  - they both named the band as a top pick for the CMJ Fest.

Exhibited by rousing lead single “My Body,” Young The Giant’s music offers both a vibrant youthfulness and a sophisticated songcraft with no shortage of epic hooks, sweet melodies and intelligent lyrics. The band’s diverse ethnic backgrounds – Indian, Persian, British, and French- Canadian among them –  translate into an incredibly dynamic album that offers jazz rhythms, surf pop harmonies, Mediterranean and Caribbean influences, flashes of jolting alt rock and so much more – topped off with frontman Sameer Gadhia’s rich, pitch-perfect voice. www.myspace.com/youngthegiant /  www.youngthegiant.com (gina@pressherepublicity.com / carla@pressherepublicity.com )
