Hailed by the New York Post as “M.I.A. and Miike Snow’s lovechild“, Hesta Prynn releases Can We Go Wrong.

“The Pepper 7″ is also available including a cover of Butthole Surfers anthem “Pepper”featuring M. Shawn Crahan aka Clown from Slipknot on drums as well as an original “Seven Sisters”. Formerly of the rap group Northern State, Hesta Prynn has been building buzz with energetic live performances and a sound that combines distorted beats from a late-night dance floor with the frenetic energy of ’90′s girl-punk. Her full-length album is in the works with an all-star production cast featuring producer Chuck Brody (Lykke Li, J.Lo, Ra Ra Riot and Wu Tang Clan) with help from Sara Quin of  Tegan and Sara, and Eric Gardner (Gnarls Barkley) on drums.

Hesta Prynn just returned from Europe opening for Tegan and Sara and will be joining them for two stateside dates. Live shows are listed below including a headlining date in New York at Mercury Lounge. She also performed at this summer’s Wireless Festival in the UK with Jay Z, and will have an unreleased track “Bury Your Bones” featured in an upcoming Volcom stone and veeco films movie “9191″ which centers around snowboarder Gigi Ruf.
