Angel Taylor’s Love Travels was named Best Pop Album of 2009 by iTunes. Today, the album gets reworked in signature iTunes style with the release of Taylor’s iTunes Sessions EP.
The digital download features seven exclusive tracks – five re-recorded songs from Taylors debut, as well as covers of Kings of Leon’s “Sex On Fire†and Justin Timberlake’s “What Comes Around… Goes Around†(complete track listing below).
Soaring on the wings of her debut single “Like You Do,†Taylor is in the midst of her most expansive tour to date, a summer amphitheatre run where she joins American Idol winner Kris Allen and Ben Kweller in support of multi-platinum Canadian pop rock superstars the Barenaked Ladies.
Taylor is climbing the charts at Adult Top 40/Hot AC radio, where her lead single “Like You Do†is a fixture in the Top 20, and has thrust into power rotation in markets across America. Media giant ClearChannel has responded in kind, making Taylor their featured artist on AAA and Hot AC radio homepages nationwide. On television, the VH1 “You Oughta Know†Artist On The Rise has found similar success, holding steady in the Top 5 on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown.
The Barenaked Ladies tour kicked off July 8, in Council Bluffs, IA, and plays more than two dozen packed amphitheatres before wrapping August 14, in Rochester, NY (see dates below). Taylor is joined on the bills by Kris Allen and Ben Kweller.
Angel is no stranger to the road, as she has spent the past year and a half touring with acts including Grammy Award Winner Adele, Gavin DeGraw, Mat Kearny, Ingrid Michaelson, Five For Fighting, Brett Dennen, Kate Voegele and Brandi Carlile.
Taylor’s Love Travels [Aware/Columbia Records] is one of the year’s most infectious albums, combining the critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter’s penchant for storytelling with sugary-sweet pop anthems.
